Monday mornings from 10-11:30 AM on September 10, 17 & 24 and then changing to Tuesday mornings at 10:00 AM on October 2, 9, 16.
For 6 weeks the morning class will be reading the Book, “The Cup of Our Life” written by Catholic Nun: Joyce Rupp. It is a book and guide for spiritual growth- it is about your prayer life. Rupp helps individuals and groups pray about everyday life using the rich symbol of a cup. For the study, you need to bring your coffee mug or tea cup with you.
Tuesday evenings from 5:30-7:00 PM starting September 4, 11, 18, 25, and October 2, 9 & 16.
The evening class will be reading the book, “If You Want to Walk on Water, You’ve Got to Get Out of the Boat” written by Pastor John Ortberg. Ortberg teaches people how to trust God more fully. Using testimonial interviews to illustrate his talks, the author teaches participants the skills essential for “water-walking” in faith with God.
FOCW “MEMORIES” BOOK – FOCW has expanded their proposed Christmas Traditions book to include a variety of other memories. Life is a lot different now than it was when many of us were young. We didn’t have social media to tell us what the rest of the world was doing or the internet to surf for ideas. We’d like to share these memories. We have received several articles – stories about working in the church Nursery, teaching school in a one-room schoolhouse, music and movies, Christmas tradition, inspiration. We’d love to have more, so we’ve extended our deadline until Labor Day. Call Sylvia if you would like her to sit down with you and help you organize your thoughts. Please give (or email) your story to Sylvia.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – We are in need of people to volunteer to be a greeter before the worship service. Anyone interested in sharing a smile, a hug, a handshake or just making someone feel welcome, contact Mary Taylor. Become a greeter at Federated and make a difference!
COFFEE FELLOWSHIP HOST NEEDED – Please consider signing up to be the coffee fellowship host for a week or two. There is a sign-up sheet on the table by the window.
