Youth Advocate
Federated Church of Wauconda is a federated congregation of the United Methodist Church and the American Baptist Churches. We are passionate about helping people of all ages find and follow Jesus, and we are seeking a Youth Advocate to help shape the future of our church.
The Youth Advocate builds strong connections with children, youth, and young families by leading outreach efforts, strengthening Sunday School participation, and creating welcoming pathways into church life. This role focuses on growth, engagement, and relationship-building, with success measured by increased participation and the addition of new members.
This paid, hourly position requires approximately 10 to 20 hours per week and includes weekend and occasional evening responsibilities. Compensation varies based on experience.
The ideal candidate is a dedicated Christ-follower who enjoys working with youth, communicates clearly and creatively, and can work both independently and collaboratively. Experience in program development and volunteer support is important, and musical ability is a plus.
